We want to support more housing development! We are especially interested in supporting infill development projects built using sustainable construction practices in areas that are well-served by transit. If you have a project in a city where we are working, please let us know. Our ability to advocate for housing means knowing where the projects are, and with 34 cities in Orange County, that is no small task!

Projects We Supported

People for Housing was started after a two-year advocacy effort for one project at 600 W. Commonwealth Ave in Fullerton. Community concerns included parking overflow into adjacent neighborhoods and the buildings' height and density. Although the developer addressed these issues, opposition remained. It took direct advocacy by community members who understand the need for more housing to speak on behalf of the project at planning commission and city council meetings to get it approved. We realized that responsible developers need community members to champion their projects. We want to see new housing built, and we are motivated to support good projects.
